AdversiveFall
I've only recently started putting mods into my Oblivion game and to me it seems I can only use one at a time. All the mods have a meshes and textures folder and they all seem to go in the same place so I can't have multiple mods. I was really wondering if it is possible to have multiple mods running and how? Thanks to anyone who answers. I'll really appreciate it. P.S. I just realized I posted this in the Technical Support section when I should have posted it in the Mod Troubleshooting section. Sorry!

I just realized I posted this in the Technical Support section when I should have posted it in the Mod Troubleshooting section. Sorry! You can have more than one mod placing files within the Meshes & Textures folders. Most mods aren't noted for erasing other mods' files. *Exception* If you install more than one mod that changes the same thing in Oblivion, then you're asking for possible troubles. For example, if you have one mod that changes your home in Chorrol, you don't want to install a different mod changing the same house. I'm running around 67 or so mods without problems, and there are a lot of members here with twice that number or more. The best rule to follow is to always read the Mod Description & the mod's Readme File before you install.
AdversiveFall
So I just put all the Meshes and Textures files for multiple mods in one Meshes and Textures folder?
Varus Torvyn
So I just put all the Meshes and Textures files for multiple mods in one Meshes and Textures folder?Nope. The way mods work is you are supposed to unzip them into either of these two folders: C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\ -or- C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data Whatever program you're using to unzip the mod will automatically place the files for you, but you have to tell the program what folder to start with. Again, the individual mod's "Mod Description" on TESNexus will usually state which folder to unzip the mod into (the better mods will). You would do what you're asking if you unzipped a mod's contents into a temporary folder and moved files manually, but you're better off allowing a program to do it. The above folder locations are for XP. If you're using Vista (aaakkk!!), then you'll need to ask a Vista user.
Javalin
Varus has hit the nail on the head there. If you're already modifying official content, e.g. Like battlehorn castle. If you want to make changes to it via the construction set. Then: Open Construction SetOpen Mods listsSelect OblivionSelect Battlehorn castleDO NOT set an active file or you are risking a mass duplication. Which can cause the game to mess up. Shadowcran
It's ok if mods have textures and meshes for them to go into the same folders side by side with other mods. If the texture or mesh tries to replace one already there, then let your system auto rename them. The excepttions to this are when you are installing newer versions of mods over old versions of the same mod. For these, when prompted, you select YES to let the newer mod overwrite the older one. As to the guy with the eye problems. I'm not very good with any cosmetic mods yet, but I know that what you need is Wrye Bash and it's bashed patch. You can integrate the eye changes from different mods into it and will probably fix most of the problems. Also DL FCOM helper to make sure the load order is correct. The last eye altering mod in the load order will take precedence over the others.

Shadowcran
Thanks, I try my best to put things simply and not confuse anyone. I myself get lost in the technical jargon and sit here wishing I had a translator, lol.
