Extremely Dark Skin [Bug/Glitch]

Recommended Posts

Title. Bug where 2 certain characters that have been changed with Dragbody's NPCOverhaul are extremely dark or don't look as intended. Cliff in Novac and Johnson Nash are show. It would seem that Johnson has some kind of texture overlay of some sort, where his vanilla texture is overlaying the modded mesh, not 100% sure though. As for Cliff, that could be the case, but I don't honestly know what could cause that.

I really need some help to figure this out. As of right this very second, I have all of Drag's faction overhauls and the NPCOverhaul. Other than that, I don't have any that would affect characters. All files have been removed from FCO, the plugins are out of my load order. I have turned archive invalidation on and off, nothing seems to have changed anything.

I have tried starting a new game, seems to do nothing. Also have reinstalled not only my game, but every mod I currently use as well. Kinda at a dead end, pls help

Feel free to comment on my load order, not a pro at this by any means.

Please see 'Issue - Body Replacer - Custom Race skin mismatch' under the 'Solutions to Graphics problems' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article.

That load order is not sorted correctly. (FalloutNV.EXE should be before FalloutNV.ESM for starters). LOOT's sort gives a good first approximation, correcting the most obvious issues and is sufficient for most players. You can make minor adjustments to the order and tell LOOT how to remember them. It's in the on-line documentation under "Metadata". Instructions on how to copy it's list for posting are in the "How to ask for help" article, and "Checklist Item #11' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

* You really need to use a "Merge Patch File" with that collection of mods. Please see the 'Third Rule: The Rule of One' and 'Merge Patch File' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

Please see the 'Vanilla Load Order' entry in the 'First Timer Advice' section; and the 'Common Game Problems' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

I recommend anyone read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if this is your first attempt to play a modded FNV or it's been more than a year since you last did so.
