Thorham
Hi, I've found a multi part outfit that I want to split into it's separate pieces: Gloves, shirt, pants and shoes. Using NifSkope this is easy, but when I save the pieces they're all more or less the same size (file size) as the full outfit, and when they're all equipped they slow down the game (similar to equipping the full outfit to each body part, in other words, equipping it four times). Anyone know why this happens, and what can be done about it? Any help is appreciated  Edited August 16, 2012 by Thorham
Nephenee13
Its much better to do this sort of thing in Blender than in NIFSkope, NIFSkope isn't designed for this.

Any chance of doing this in Maya or 3ds Max (both are much more user friendly for beginners than Blender)? Sure, same principle, though I've never used either of them so I can't help with the precise procedure.
Thorham
Well, that turned out to be a major drag :( It's always something with importers and exporters for game files. That, or I'm a noob :D Can't this be done with NifScope with some effort, or does it really pay off to do it in a proper 3D program? I currently have plenty of time to spare, because I'm between jobs (thank goodness :)), so time isn't a problem.
