Help with Trashcan Carla

Hey guys, hoping that one of you guys can help me with this. So apparently one of my mods disabled Carla's protected status and I ended up finding her dead on the side of the road near Concord. I attempted to resurrect her with the console but she just dropped back on the ground. I then tried to use recycleactor on her and now she's laying on the floor with the ability to talk to her (https://imgur.com/a/ynPoNOe). She responds initially with " Yeah " but cannot be interacted with past that. I then attempted to duplicate Carla using spawndupe, the new npc responds as carla should and walks around correctly but no menu appears when speaking to her for directions to diamond city or to barter etc. I'm currently at a loss as to what else I can do to try to fix her. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You've gone through most of what I would have done. Have you tried resurrecting her and then using "Kill" on her? That might reset her?

 

Also, there's two mods that might help you here, Reanimator and Portable Cloning Device.

Moral of the Story - there are certain characters that are ESSENTIAL and when you change that, you change that.

 

Once she is DEAD ... sadly she is DEAD and there is NO reverting back ....

 

UNLESS:

 

1. You saved your game BEFORE you changed this?

... Then simply go back to the prior game and start from there.

... Also, if you did not, remember this lesson BEFORE you make changes, make an EMERGENCY BACK UP!!

2. You are now going to have to start over. :(

... No, resurrection mod did NOT work for me with Characters like Carla. Oh, she an other characters came back to " life " ... > but the essentials of their character, IE: Stock, Inventory or Quest related did not ...
