Bonconavitch
So I just recently tried to add a mod for the first time. I downloaded the Fallout Mod Manager and it is incompatible with windows eight. Has anyone else upgraded their os that can offer my advice on alternatives? Thanks. luthienanarion
I downloaded the Fallout Mod Manager and it is incompatible with windows eight. False. I've been running 8 since the first developer preview, and nothing has been incompatible so far.
bben46
A free evaluation version of Windows 8 is available for download from Microsoft. It will expire at some time and you will be forced to pay for it - however, if you got the early evaluation copy, the cost is 'supposed' to be very low compared to older versions or Windows. I don't see any reason why the game, NMM or any mods would not work on Win8. As I have not bothered with the evaluation I really don't know. And will be interested in any results people have been seeing.
Bonconavitch
I downloaded the Fallout Mod Manager and it is incompatible with windows eight. False. I've been running 8 since the first developer preview, and nothing has been incompatible so far. There have also been two different release that I've noticed many differences in. A friend of mine runs the other version and he hasn't run into any problems, while I have. Notable issues being certain programs not running properly on it (EX. Magic ISO). Developer Preview, Consumer Preview, Release Preview, and now the RTM is available to MSDN I think. Believe me, I would have noticed if FOMM was not compatible with 8.
