Can GECK fix glitched Quest?

For example, That Old Sun quest to turn on the power plant, and aligning the west mirror through the console that needs a access key from Fantastic. Well he never gives me one. I watched tons of tutorials and when he is suppose to give me the code when you say goodbye to him, for me he just says goodbye and never gives the code.

 

I was wandering is this something I can use the geck for and either give myself the code or mark it as already given or something?

 

Console doesn't work for me with windows 10 and I tried all the tricks already to make it work. So I can't use a reset quest console command. I am stumped.

When you say the console doesn't work for you, I take it you mean you are not able to get either the default <"~"> key to function, nor to reassign it to another key, correct?

 

Have you tried either of the NVSE mods to get around this identified in 'Issue - Console - Can not open the in-game console command line under Windows 10' under the "Solutions to Control problems" section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article?

 

Have you tried the other "Issue - Console" entries as well?

 

If none of those work, can you provide us with he details regarding your computer and keyboard that might explain why that is the case? That is a pretty severe problem and worth trying to resolve.

There is the setting "bAllowConsole=1" under the "[interface]" section of the "Fallout_Default" INI file that needs to be enabled as well.
