People blame bush for attacking them but you no what think about what would happen if we dident go after them are country will be in a mess. We didn't go after them. IF we had we'd have spent our efforts in Afghanistan and the Pakistani border regions, where Al Qaida actually was/is. Al Qaida wasn't in Iraq, then! But they are now, thanks to the upheaval caused by our invasion. And no, dear, Obama is not Islamic. His father was but he was raised by his mother and his Christian grandmother. He only saw his father once during his childhood. He has always attended christian churches, so how is he Islamic? That's simple-minded to draw such a conclusion, or at least very naive. wolfpackkane
Terriost are every were and yes they are in iraq and i dont care what obama is he could be a terroist for all i care and those facts about being raised by a christain is lies they already proved that he lied about that with this church thing. He changes to much i dont no whats going to happen if obama becomes prez and dont step up to fighting iran is going to have there chance. There main plan is to take us over. So many people hating us. Its stupid with iran korea and now maybe russia. The reason why i think mccain will be good at this stuff is because hes been thru war. His 2 sons are marines. Plus we need a women in the white house to take care of finacial stuff. Women are good with that lol. Plus she with do alot more. Gah i say if you not american blooded get sent back to your country lol hey even ill go back to were i came from lol, Then america can be safe. They already found terroists operating over here. Its just all confusing so much stuff going on its crazy. D:
UnholyShadow
Kane, even though I am vehemently against Obama, the stuff you are saying doesn't even make sense, and is not grounded on anything. Obama isn't a terrorist or a Muslim, he just went to a Muslim school for a little while. However, Obama still isn't a good candidate for president. I know I am about to say one of the most over-used things against Obama, but I don't care. If you go to a church with a nut-job racist pastor for 15 or 20 years, there is definitely something wrong with you. I am not saying Obama is a racist, but to put up with blatant incompetence and heresy from your own pastor is idiotic. I just watched the debate on television, and anyone with half a brain can tell Obama is scared. He has started saying more things about foreign policy, instead of just domestic issues. Obama knows foreign policy is one of his weaker points, and he also knows that for the most part, Americans want someone with intelligent views on foreign policy, not someone with little experience on it. Kendo 2
Funny things about Obama...I don't know if this qualifies as 'funny' but it is pathetic; Obama has authored two books while in office and NO BILLS. I think that shows where his priorities really are. Neither candidate is a gem and whoever becomes President in 2012 will have a lot of cleaning up to do. The only losers in all of this are going to be the American people. No matter who gets into office this year they are going to grind the average middleclass American to the brink of collapse. I guess it all boils down to whose smarmy face you want to look at for the next four years.
myrmaad
I'm a white woman who has a passion for history. I'm just going to say that long before I actually listened within the full context to what Wright said, I could have and in some cases have said exactly the same things. He got a tiny bit carried away with himself once there, but for the most part everything in his sermons that I heard, was absolutely historically correct. History, it's the Bomb! You should forget what you learned in school, and what you hear on the CBS evening news, and people on the radio say. Go to the library and get books about actual history from many different perspectives. Tell me what happened on 9/11/1973. Why does that matter? Tell me what happened in 1953 in Iran? Tell me, What is the Sykes-Picot document? Well that's enough for the moment for you to get where I'm coming from, I guess, it should keep you busy for a while if you actually do your homework. I don't gossip, myself, and when I have made friends with neighbors, in the past, with people who come over and try to run my life for me, I balk. I eliminate those people from my life, and it happens in the blink of an eye. Oh, you don't think my husband treats me right? You need to get out of my house and get the blank down the road. Don't come back. I didn't ask for your opinion. This is a classic trouble-maker's ploy, usually said by someone who would like my husband for herself. So she causes trouble, and if we take the bait, she's sitting in the catbird seat to move in on my man. This is just a classic example of how this works, that you've probably seen in action. See, it's not for you to decide what I do, or how I run my life. I'm the captain of this ship. End of. The problem with the US is our government has a tendency to get involved in everyone else's business, on the pretext that we're trying to help, but there are always strings attached that benefit the "US interests" rather than the indigenous societies where we interfere. And like me, those societies get resentful when our so-called "help"-ful policies result in their further impoverishment, as our companies nee "interests" are making all the profits from the resources of their lands. This has gone on for years. In this new dawning age, it's now being done to us, it's called outsourcing, but it's not being done by foreign governments so much as by our own runaway corporations. It makes you angry doesn't it? The trouble with capitalism is it has too many capitalists. -- Herbert Hoover . . . . . . When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous, and its speaker a raving lunatic. - Dresden James . . . . . . "It would be extremely naive to expect the dominant classes to develop a type of education that would enable subordinate classes to perceive social injustices critically." Paulo Freire . . . . . . "The corporation is not a person and it does not live. It is alifeless bundle of legally protected financial rights andrelationships brilliantly designed to serve money and its imperatives. It is money that flows in its veins, not blood. The corporation hasneither soul nor conscience." - David Korten, The Post-Corporate World
delphinus
I agree with everything Myrmaad said, from her first post to the last one. The upcoming neo-middle ages that the world is facing. cannot be avoided if we keep seeing the same faces, hearing the same words and let these grotesque people like Bush and McCain rule. I repeat, i'm not from US and i cannot say if Obama is good and honest enough to really try to end the war once he's president, but he's worth the try, in my opinion. UnholyShadow
Myrmaad, I learned all that stuff in honors world geography last year, and it seems to me that you are bashing the U.S. No wonder you would vote for Obama. Not trying to start a flame war here, but that's just what I inferred.
