yep, i appreciate that little tip, didn't realize all of that when i uploaded.
as i said before, this is definitely my first time working with quests, and i'm open to criticism.

hopefully its now all loaded in there correctly to test, so i can get to the bottom of what is stopping my quest from starting.

Maybe these editor warnings could be the cause

QUESTS: Alias 5 is non-optional and Forced to NONE. This quest cannot start.
QUESTS: Warnings were encountered initializing alias 'Chest' on quest 'A027_Q3Quest' (02002E67).
QUESTS: Alias 'coinPurse' 4 uses non-preceding or created alias 'Chest' 5. This alias cannot be filled.
QUESTS: Quest 'A027_Q3Quest' (02002E67) contains aliases with invalid dependencies.

(it has to be read from bottom to top)

Thank you for finding those!

I dont know how to run these checks, funny I was just looking into that.

In response,
Anything Q3(Quest 3) was done in SM Nodes, and didn't really spend as much time on.

Q1 & 2 are Start Game Enabled, and the ones I'm more concerned with.

Although I plan to get Q3 running,

the warnings you see wouldn't interfere with dialogue starting from Q1Actor and Q2Actor, would it?

Quests 1+2 are not set to start game enabled, they're both started via story manager actor dialogue event, at least that's how it looks in your uploaded file.

For troubleshooting things like these, the console command SQV <YourQuestID> can be helpful too.

Ghaunadaur I appreciate you spotting this,

as silly as I feel, atleast I have an alright understanding of the basics here.

I Found an issue were I had selected a different Event Type for both, which causes Start Game Enabled to become grey.

will upload a new version soon..but unfortunately for me, the dialogue is still not starting.

Hey guys I just uploaded a new version.. heres whats going on...

Update 2.0

  1. Removed a bunch of unnecessary files
  2. Added a debug message to each quest that will play when they become active.
  3. Fixed a problem with an alias reference in Q3.
  4. Fixed a problem where Start Game Enabled had been greyed out on Q1 & Q2.

I had believed fix #4 was going to fix the issue right away, but it didn't. I will continue

to update this as I search for the answers!

Thanks to Ghaunadaur , maxarturo , "Dare" and anyone else who's DLed and taken a look.
