[LE] Start Quest Enabled

There are still issues with quest 2 and 3...

 

 

QUESTS: Alias 'coinPurse' 4 uses non-preceding or created alias 'Chest' 5. This alias cannot be filled.
QUESTS: Quest 'A027_Q3Quest' (02002E67) contains aliases with invalid dependencies.

 

Move the chest alias above the coinpurse alias to fix it.

 

 

 

QUESTS: Alias 3 is non-optional and Forced to NONE. This quest cannot start.
QUESTS: Warnings were encountered initializing alias 'A027_Q2Actor1' on quest 'A027_Q2Quest' (02002386).
QUESTS: Alias 4 is non-optional and Forced to NONE. This quest cannot start.
QUESTS: Warnings were encountered initializing alias 'A027_Q2Actor2' on quest 'A027_Q2Quest' (02002386).

 

Aliases A027_Q2Actor1 and A027_Q2Actor2 are still not filled, this is preventing the quest to start.

That would do it, wouldn't it. I see now it says Forced to NONE.

My Newb eyes didn't know where to look on the alias list.

well well well !!!

 

so youre finding these by running the mod in game and typing ~ SQV A027_Q1Quest and so on?

 

This is shown when loading the mod in Creation Kit. It's also saved to the file EditorWarnings.txt in the Skyrim folder.

Ah okay I determined those two actors were never created because I couldn't get Shaane (the quest giver) to start her dialogue,

Aliases A027_Q2Actor1 and A027_Q2Actor2 were going to be the bandits.

 

 

 

V2.1 includes

 

  • Removed 2 empty aliases in Q2 that were causing an error.
  • Reorganized the aliases in Q3 that were causing an error.

Some things I noticed...

 

Quest 1

- If the alias has fill type 'unique actor', the references need to have a persist location assigned.

- Aliases FairplayAgro and CrazedMan need to have the 'allow disabled' flag, since their refs are initially disabled.

 

 

Quest 2

- If the alias has fill type 'unique actor', the references need to have a persist location assigned.

- There is no ref of 'A027_Q2BanditTheif' yet so the alias 'BrewTheif' cannot be filled.

- If the alias BrewTheif is not filled, alias BrewCase can't be filled either.

I just went through and made a new voice type, and all new audio files, and then noticed your latest comment.

Checking allow disabled on those 2 immediately seemed to repair Quest 1. I think I'm in shock

 

Assuming that filling in the blanks and completing quest 2 should work now, as well.
