sinnerman69
Go to ATI's website and download the latest version for your model . Select your operating system, the integrated - motherboard category, and choose the HD3200.Source(s): http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html there are pull down menus there Edited August 18, 2012 by sinnerman69
xlcr
Ihaveno, hi, realistically to get framerates reasonably playable with an integrated mobile HD 3200 gpu you should also look at researching/disabling non-critical windows services, maybe try game booster if you're careful with it.Tweak Skyrim display and AMD control panel game profile effects settings as low as you can. There are all sorts of INI tweaks you can make to Skyrim to decrease rendering quality but improve fps performance.Stay away from mods that use performance resources. Also, make sure your laptop internals are getting plenty of cooling. xlcr
Ihaveno, i'm in the Nvidia camp now; but, using the link kindly provided by sinnerman69http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.htmli went ahead and checked this, you can download the correct driver package by selecting the following: Step 1: Select the type of system that you have: Notebook Graphics Step 2: Select the product family your product belongs to: Auto Detect and InstallStep 3: Select your product: N/AStep 4: Select the supported operating system that you have: N/AStep 5: Display Results or try this: Step 1: Select the type of system that you have: Notebook Graphics Step 2: Select the product family your product belongs to: Radeon HD Series Step 3: Select your product: Mobility Radeon HD 3xxx Series Step 4: Select the supported operating system that you have: Windows 7 - 32 BitStep 5: Display Results AMD Catalyst™ Display Driver Version 12.6 Operating System(s) Windows Vista - 32-Bit Edition; Windows 7 - 32-Bit Edition Products Supported AMD Catalyst™ Driver for AMD Radeon™ HD 4000, HD 3000 and HD 2000 Series Select the 'Download' button.Download: Catalyst Software Suite 112.8 MB 12.6 7/24/201212-6-legacy_vista_win7_32_dd_ccc_whql.exe 113 MB when i try this i do not see a '3200' listed (only the '3300'):Step 1: Select the type of system that you have: Notebook Graphics Step 2: Select the product family your product belongs to: Integrated Motherboard GraphicsStep 3: Select your product: ???Step 4: Select the supported operating system that you have: Windows 7 - 32 BitStep 5: Display Results You may have to go here and run the 'AMD Mobility Radeon™ Driver Verification Tool'.http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-32.aspx(not compatible with Toshiba, Sony VAIO, or Panasonic notebooks).i have a feeling your model GPU may be considered a legacy model, AMD's website doesn't seem to make it easy to verify the correct driver version for the HD 3200.have you tried searching the website of whatever brand laptop you have for driver support? try going here:http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalystSoftwareSuiteVersion123ReleaseNotes.aspxAMD Catalyst™ Software Suite Version 12.3 and here i guess:http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/737-20870HowtoInstallYourATIProduct.aspx anyway, after you properly install/update your AMD Catalyst driver/suite, you'll want to learn about the 'Catalyst Control Center' ('CCC') and how to customize your GPUsettings to best run Skyrim/etc.. xlcr
Ihaveno, hi, i don't know what the temperature tolerances are for your GPU, you'll have to look that up somewhere and probably get yourself a decent GPU temp monitoring utility.Be aware, integrated GPU's heat up quickly and usually do not have sufficient cooling for graphics intensive gaming. A few years ago i think people were successfully overclocking their integrated HD 3200 GPU's using the AMD Overdrive driver, i don't know if this is true. I don't know that much about the HD 3200; but, i think it was originally intentionally underclocked by design to save on battery power and overheating issues, so you might have some headroom to bump the core clock up a bit.(personally, i won't recommend trying to overclock your machine).I don't think your laptop BIOS supports GPU overclocking and i'm not sure if RivaTuner or PowerStrip will work either. It might also be possible to reallocate dedicated/shared VRAM; and, overclock memory timings. You can download AMD Overdrive here and try it:http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/amd-overdrive/Pages/overview.aspx and I think i found the correct AMD HD 3200 driver here:http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/legacy/Pages/legacy-radeonaiw-vista32.aspx GPU-Z might be a good tool to monitor you GPU clock values.Again, i have no idea if any of the above actually works with your HD 3200 IGP.umm, please don't explode your machine lol. what are your current display settings? are you running any mods? have you looked into INI tweaks yet?
