spenman13
Love using Sharp Shooters ENB not FPS drops and it looks great but for some reason it is causing pretty long load times, not to bad if i load in a small area but in large area's it gets pretty long Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q6700 @ 2.66GHz 8 GB of RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 3.95 GB 1920x1200 OCZ AGILITY SSD16.01 free space any ideas to decrease load times? Mugabuga
Wait, your GTX 560 has 4GB of VRAM? And I've got about the same system as you, except for the processor. That seems like the only weak point in this system, so that might be it. However, that doesn't seem very realistic. If you have TONS of mods that might be it also. Ragicka
I found that DoF increased load times for me. Turn that off if you have it on and see. Disable SSAO if you're fps is too low.

I heard disabling SSAO might help? Capping your framerate below 60 can cause a bug with Skyrim where load times take way longer. ENB mods can cap framerates, so you may want to look at that. I really doubt your hardware is the issue, because my way weaker rig can load high quality ENB mods in a few seconds. spenman13
Thanks for the feed back guys, I'll make sure the capper on the ENB is back up to atleast 60, and what is DOF and how can i fix it? depth of field im guessing?
spenman13
Ok just read up about DoF, i hope that isnt the issue because i REALLY enjoy the DoF effect, I think it could also be SSAO, but im not sure and im not even sure what that effects
Ragicka
SSAO adds shadowing effects to add more realism but at the cost of performance. I disable both it and DoF because they reduce my game to a stuttering crawl. But I still get nice colour and lighting effects. I played around with those settings again this morning and for some reason, neither one of them are affecting my load times. My fps is hovering at 25 but load times are normal. So there goes my theory. Not sure why that is. Temporary glitch? The only way to find out for sure is to get in there and tinker with it. Both DoF and SSAO can be enabled/disabled in the enbseries.ini file. Even while the game is still running, Alt+Tab out and Alt+Tab twice to get back in. Make sure you pull up a menu first otherwise you'll get the double cursor bug. And be sure to back up your original enbseries.ini file. Jawz has an excellent tutorial on editing enb here. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8005 There's also a handy little gui app that will simplify everything. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17400
spenman13
Thanks for the feed back Ragicka, After some testing ive resorted to disabling my ENB ( shift+f12) on every major load screen, which allows it load in 2 seconds, with enb enabled its a solid 1-2 minutes depending on what im loading, thinking it may just be a glitch with the enb, but not sure how its causing the long load times
