Frejoh46
Lets say you install a mod that makes the AI better and change the game play mechanics, but it also decided to change to whole crafting materials quantity, before it was 1 iron ore to 1 iron ingot ratio but now it's 4 ores to 1 ingot. I really don't like that and was thinking on how to fix that, the changes is on the main .esp so I can't disable it, but then I thought that I could make a new .esp that have the original system and load it after the other .esp, so I downloaded the creation kit and tried to run it, but it stop responding when it opens up. But lets say I was able to find and do the changes would the game crash or would it work? (I have no modding experience) Or is there a easier way to do this? (the mod in question is T3nd0s Skyrim Redone) Edit:Way off topic, but I can also go with if anyone know how to get the "Combat" Module and "Enemy AI" Module working without the main.esp, or know a other mod that does those 2 things Edited August 18, 2012 by Frejoh46
David Brasher
The most direct approach would be to edit your copy of the overhaul mod by modcleaning out the undesired changes on your personal copy of the mod. One problem with this would be that if the mod gets updated, then you would have to make your changes again. Another approach would be to build an unmastered patch mod to place in the load order after the overhaul mod. It would contain identical-to-master edits or near-identical-to-master edits to make the game like it was without the overhaul mod in the aspects that you specify. If you can get the CK running, either one of these approaches would be within your capabilities.
Frejoh46
The CK started to crashing after the newest update, so I'll guess it might start to work after a new update. And that will take some time, cuss I don't think an update will come soon. I might find a older version and see if it will work the current version of Skyrim, otherwise it will take time, unless I find a other mod. But if I get it to work, will it be easy to make it identical-to-master edits or near-identical-to-master edits to a file? otherwise I guess I'll find out if I get the CK to work. Edit:I was able to get it to start, but the game crashes when I try to load the main.esp on the mod it just keep crashing, so I will try to create a file that overwrite the crafting system to the original, but I'll have to learn on how to use the program. Edit2:Ok, just forget it, I won't be able to do anything. I'll just have to wait until someone makes a better AI/combat mod.
