Laptop for modded Skyrim

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm looking to buy a laptop on which I can play modded Skyrim. With modded I mean a nice ENB and some basic texture mods, some mods that add extra quests, and mods that give me more character custimization options (more hairstyles/better elf faces/skin textures (mostly only for my own character).

I'm looking for a laptop of around a 1000 euro's. Now I'm looking at this one:

HP Pavilion G15-cx096nd

Intel Core i7 8750H 2.2 ghz - 4.1 ghz

16 GB RAM

128 GB SSD

1000 GB HDD

NVIDEA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB

Screen 15,6", 1080p

Price: 1069 euro's

Would this be good enough? (I don't consistently need 60 fps)

Thank you for answering  So you think it will be a good buy? I've been looking on the HP website today as well, and I also found this one, which seems to have a better graphics card:

HP Pavilion 15-cx0640nd

Intel Core i7 8750H 2.2 ghz - 4.1 ghz

8 GB RAM - instead of 16 GB compared to the one above

1000 GB HDD

NVIDEA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB - instead of the NVIDEA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - 4GB

16 GB Intel Optane Memory - I understand this is in place of the SSD which the one above does have

I can buy this one for 945 euro's.

Thoughts?

hey there

well i won't deny it nor to attacking your opinion, but i suggest you get the 6GB of GTX 1060. GTX 1060 3GB version doesn't work very well near future, 6GB is much better

ps : you can buy ram by yourself, it can be cheaper.

Yeah I was thinking about that as well, but I'm not sure which laptop to get in that case that has a price around my budget. At least in the HP Pavilion series I can't seem to find a version with the GTX 1060 in 6 GB version. Suggestions?

Thanks for your help! I've been looking for something similar, and I think I'm going to choose a laptop from the Dell G3 15 series. It has a Nvidea GeForce 1060 6GB. Unfortunately only 8 GB of RAM, but as far as I see, this can be upgraded in the future. Right now I can get it for 975 euro's, so that seems like a nice price.
