Torqueshank
I was at the campfire at the Goodsprings source today and I noticed all of the empty sarsaparilla bottles littered about. I was holding my lever-action shotgun and got to thinking... you can load coins into shotshells and fire them, so why not glass? The idea is simple. Take an empty bottle and crush it at a workbench. Then you load the small, jagged fragments into a shotshell and use it. It would have a VERY high DPS but VERY low DAM. My idea is that it could be used on weaker enemies (dogs, bark scorpions) that aren't worth wasting more powerful ammunition on and without changing weapons. Obviously, this would tear up your gun beyond repair in reality. But since the glass is sooo tiny and shot with such force it would incur no CND penalty on your gun. In short, I'm guessing it could be the shotgun equivalent of hollow points. What do you think?
VaultPi
I already suggested that to the guy who is writting the craft pack mods. being super sharp it would do more damage but have worse DT penetration than regular shot.other fun ideas...now if we could only get some monowire we could make some nasty lead weight and metal fishing line shot like in that Baldwin / Basinger movie set in New Orleans....Door breacher rounds (don't really shoot the locks off, they destroy the hinges)Graphite shot, shorts out electrical systems, but only does KO damage to humans (does however knockdown/damage robots & Power armour) (made with pencils)Salt Shot 20 or 12 gauge does KO damage only, badly reduces barrel condition. Torqueshank
The door breacher ones sound a little OP to me. Would't it make the lockpick skill useless? (Unless they're really rare?) Speaking of the graphite shot, do you mean it shorts out hackable terminals? I think that'd be a little overkill. Or do you mean it messes with Power Armor and stuff like that? Salt shot sounds useful, but where would you get the salt from?
VaultPi
graphite was more intened to be a more anti-powered armour/robot round, like pulse lite. it would do minimal damage against DT, but would reduce the durability of powered and stealth armour. It would ignore DT against Robots. Still it's base damage would be lower than a normal round against most living things. Salt would have to be added to the store lists/building loot, or harvestable from the dry desert bed sections of the mojave....
