Cry for help - Graphical issues

Hi guys,

Any help on this subject is greatly appreciated.

 

Let me just start of by saying, I have done a complete reinstall of skyrim and windows onto a new SDD drive.

I have all the same mods (around 40), Project ENB, and skyrim 1.7.7.0.6 with dawnguard, and I have done a local cache check via steam for skyrim and all is good on that end.

 

Here is the issue:

Now, I've tried with and without mods installed and project ENB, but no matter what setup I have installed my nights simple put, do not make my game darker. My characters; objects; trees; flora and buildings get darker - a lot darker, even to the point where you can't even see the armor I have on because I am as black as black... just as it should be. However as it passes well beyond midnight there is no change to the terrain - the snow, roads, dirt. The terrain simply doesn't get any darker than say 7pm lighting, it does however get a lot brighter, at mid-day its as what you would expect, Lovely white snow, beautiful green grass. The shadows and everything work just perfectly. But at nights there is no change after 7pm-ish its like there is a full moon out brightening up the land and my shadows are still cast and carrying a torch or near dynamic lights, the shadows are still there.

Before the reinstall my nights were barely visible without some kind of candle light or torch or vampire vision, they were as dark as the colour black with Projects of tamriel and previous dark night mods that I had tried. But now something is definitely broken.

 

And here I ask you guys if there is a way to fix this. I've tried messing with skyrimprefs ini in the documents folder too but to no avail. nothing seems to fix my lighting.

 

Now I will admit, I am not that great when it comes to computers but I've been running skyrim on ultra with everything maxxed out and I even have hd textures, lush trees, grass and vurts flora, everything installed and my game still runs perfectly, before the reinstall atleast.

My only issue is the darker nights are gone and the only thing thats different is a new SDD drive.

 

I don't know what else to try, so if you have any suggests i'd appreciate you taking the time to share those. and let me know what you need me to do.

RESOLVED NOW

 

Thanks to karimadidas over on youtube pointed me right onto the solution.

for anyone else having issues of this nature be sure to delete the renderinfo.txt and keep a backup of your skyrimprefs.ini and skyrim.ini when uninstalling and installing new enb profiles.

 

You may now send this topic off into the archives to record the history of my failures.
