The problem I am having is with a single character. I tried this with a few "Fresher" characters, and they dont suffer this. Just my oldest character.

 

The problem is that when I attempt to equip/unequip large pieces of armor. Such as Curiasses or Greaves. I get a large lagspike. It only happens whenever I dont equip somthing else for a while. Then try to equip it again.

 

I had this problem during my C++ Runtime Issues too. But Even now I have yet to get another C++ error. So it may not be that.

Given it only occurs with your oldest character, it sounds like 'bloat'. Wrye Bash has a command on the 'Saves' tab to clear out bloat. Check out the new docs with v300, specifically the 'Advanced' Readme in the 'Save Context Menu' Commands section: 'Remove Bloat'.

Note all the BC plugins are above the BP. BOSS and WB go together like bread and jam. They are the first thing anyone is going to tell you use to fix problems once you have more mods than 'a few'.

You don't need 'Vampire Aging' as both fixes in that file are 'tweaks' in the BP. And UOP is now up to v3.4.1 which incorporates all the supplementals as well.

I tried using the mods and SI patches before, they cause a crash for me.

 

Also I have used BOSS, BOSS made my load order like that, and before I made this post I used Wrye Bash to see if it was a bloat, it said no bloat was found.

 

I'll try removing the vampire aging thing. The next time I play oblivion.

Most likely you installed BOSS wrong, because that load order is unquestionably incorrect. Are you using the most recent versions of both Wrye Bash and BOSS?

Is BOSS's masterlist up-to-date? Is "lock times" turned off in Wrye Bash? Is your data folder maybe write-protected? Or only some of the ESPs even?

This is certainly not a BOSS load order, but possible causes for why it isn't are wide-spread.

I think I found the issue, my old character has so much in their inventory, I remember this problem not happening during the "Through a nightmare darkly" quest, the one where you dont have any items during the dream sequence. I had no lag when putting on the armor for the arena. I think if I did a bit of inventory cleaning, The lag will stop.

 

EDIT: I installed the HD textures for the HGEC body, and suddenly no more lag!

EDIT2: I wound up getting C++ Runtime errors again, but It looks like I managed to fix it by updating my C++.
