Bud042
Recently, I decided to start playing New Vegas again. Since I've beaten it multiple times without mods, I went ahead and added a bunch of mods to give me new stuff to do. However, I now regularly get blue screens when playing, usually after around an hour of playing the game. New Vegas ran fine before I added mods and never gave me any crashes, so it seems to be connected to the mods. To test this, I played the game with all of the mods disabled in the Mod Manager, and lasted and hour and a half just fine before quitting the game myself, which points even more towards the mods. I went to each of the mods' pages on Nexus to see if there was anything about blue screens, but didn't have any luck. I don't know what to do besides playing the game and enabling the mods one by one, but that just seems like a really tedious way to figure out the problem. If anybody knows anything that I could do or try, it would be very helpful. I'll list my mods below. http://gyazo.com/dc750b334b5cd58fd6ec2d06a8f3ae89.png?1345490153 Edited August 20, 2012 by Bud042

Everything I've looked into so far points to my video card, but seeing as I ran the game fine before using mods (and when mods were disabled), and I haven't gotten blue screens from anything else, I'm not convinced that it is that. Bud042
Is the logfile the same thing that Who Crashed would give me after a crash? Cuz I have the Who Crashed reports. If not, I'll play and get the crash and all. crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini070112-01.dmpThis was probably caused by the following module: nv4_disp.dll (nv4_disp+0xA271A) Bugcheck code: 0x1000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFFFFFBD0B471A, 0xFFFFFFFFB005ABC0, 0xFFFFFFFFB005A8BC)Error: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_Mfile path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\nv4_disp.dllproduct: NVIDIA Windows XP Display driver, Version 301.42 company: NVIDIA Corporationdescription: NVIDIA Windows XP Display driver, Version 301.42 Bug check description: This indicates that a system thread generated an exception which the error handler did not catch. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: nv4_disp.dll (NVIDIA Windows XP Display driver, Version 301.42 , NVIDIA Corporation). luthienanarion
Driver Crash! Replace either the driver or the hardware. A mod for New Vegas cannot possibly cause BSODs.
Cynthetic
yes the driver is crashed but that can be have other errors to cause them. i hope that is only the driver for bud.
