TheThaiBandit Posted August 20, 2012 Share Posted August 20, 2012 Hey all, I have a typical issue while playing Skyrim. It is another "stuttering problem;" however, I think my situation is different. I've been playing Skyrim for months now and I've been having these issues for a while... I play Skyrim on medium-high quality settings and the game runs perfect and smooth. However, about 20 minutes into playing, it seems as if my frame rate drops to the point where the game is unbearable. I usually pause the game, and anywhere from 3-10 minutes later, Skyrim goes back to playing smoothly again. I cannot diagnose the issue of this problem, however I am quite sure that my PC can run the game fine, but I cannot understand what is causing this. Additional Notes:-This problem has been around BEFORE I added any mods to Skyrim.-I have tried many different .ini tweaks and FPS Boosters (HiAlgoBoost, FPS Booster) as well as Performance Mods and ENB's. They improved performance while the game ran smoothly, but the problem still occurred.-I have updated my Sound Card driver, Graphic Card driver, and Network Adapter driver, problem still occurs. If you can, please help me. I'm willing to try almost any solution. This problem has also occurred when I play other Full Screen/Large Resolution games. I plan on buying Dawnguard, but I do not want to play through it while having to pause the game every so often just so it plays smoothly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Blaufrosch Posted August 22, 2012 Share Posted August 22, 2012 Hi, it seems the problem doesn't caused by skyrim but rather by your pc? Try to check your cpu/gpu temperature, also your hdd activity.
