ruckstar Posted August 21, 2012 Share Posted August 21, 2012 I'm trying to buy a house in Markarth, but of course to do so you have to do several tasks by command of the Jarl and his uncle/steward (Raerek). I've completed the quest in which you go to find the Jarl's shield, I've become thane and I've also done several quests given by Raerek including things like killing Forsworn leaders and killing dragons near the area. A while ago I killed the leader of Red Eagle Redoubt, I can't remember if it was part of one of Raerek's set quests or not, but after completing several more tasks he's set me this one again. It doesn't show up on my map with an arrow either, so I was convinced it was a glitch in the game. I went back several saves, repeated my steps and still received the same task, with the same issue. Everyone I know with the game says you only had to complete one or two quests given by Raerek, so I'm presuming the fact that I've been given more than 5 is just a glitch in the game. However unless I complete these quests, I can't get the house - absolutely no idea where to go from here so any help would be really useful! Thanks!
