Tragicvision
Quick question if anyone can help. I normally have my resolution set at 1280x800 in other Bethesda games and shift/F12ing keeps the aspect ratio regardless. However, two enbs I've tried tanks it up to fullscreen. I've tried to fake border it, fake black bar it etc, but all it does is lop off the top and bottom of the display what was there originally there. In other words, the image is stretched when enb is turned on. Any way I can keep the aspect ratio I intended when enb is activated? I've looked and Googled my way into a frenzy for the last couple of days but I'm yet to find a solution. To give you an idea what I mean:- Enb - stretched (below) http://i64.tinypic.com/2wnd5s2.jpg No ENB - perfect aspect ratio (below) http://i63.tinypic.com/hsw5eh.jpg Is this something can't be avoided? Hope someone can help.
dubiousintent
As ENB is a "post processor", it can apply it's own ideas of what is proper "aspect ratios" after the game engine is done, but before the image is displayed on the monitor. So you need to see if there are any settings in the ENB files covering either the ratio or the height/width values, which will override those of the game itself. Any given "preset" may then override those settings. Usually an ENB preset will have already made specific edits to the default ENB INI files, which it will overwrite. However, this is not considered "best practice" because only about a third of the ENBLocal file is related to the preset and the remainder is specific to your system. Instead you should use their file as a guide to edit the ENB settings in your own files. You can choose to edit those settings either "in-game" (using the "<Shift+Enter>" key combination to enter and exit ENB "edit" mode), or by directly editing the ENBLocal.INI (or ENBInjector.INI) file, or other files as directed. See the Warning about ENBLocal.INI entry of the S.T.E.P. Project ENBseries Guide for specifics. Most of the ENB configuration settings you need to adjust for your particular game setup are found in the "ENBLocal.INI". See the S.T.E.P. Project ENBLocal INI Guide for their descriptions. If you want to adjust the "ENBSeries.INI" file settings yourself instead of using the ones provided by a "pre-set", see the S.T.E.P. Project ENBSeries INI Guide page, which "is intended as THE comprehensive reference to the functionality of all parameters found within enbseries.ini as it evolves." There is also the ENB Series Wiki page. Otherwise, all I know can be found under the 'Solutions to Post-Processor (ENB/SweetFX et. al.) problems' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article. -Dubious-
Tragicvision
Hmmm. nothing there works in terms of aspect ratio. Any help in why I can't customise an enb to this aspect level will be the end of, really. To try and make this clear - the enb forces itself into full screen. Not the resolution I want. The guides don't address that. Edited May 15, 2019 by Tragicvision
dubiousintent
Sorry, but I have no idea why it's doing that. I gave up on post processors a long while ago as more hassle than they were worth to me. I'm assuming you are on Windows 10. Last I knew Boris did not have, and had no intention of acquiring, Win10: so implementation on that OS has always had "issues". But your best bet is to ask on his forums for assistance as your question would seem to be an independent feature from the OS version. Just be sure to mention your OS version in case it is relevant. -Dubious-
