Dawnguard CTD

Hi. I just installed the Dawnguard DLC through Steam, but, when I try to enter Fort Dawnguard, my game crashes to desktop. I'm thinking it's probably a mod issue, but, I have no idea which mod, or combination of mods, could be causing it. If anyone has had a similar issue, or, has any advice, or can offer any help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First, have a bit of patience.

Second, do you have the Vanilla Mannequin Script Fix mod? If so, make sure it's updated to 2.1. If that doesn't work, you might have to uninstall it. (Make sure to follow the instructions in the mod description if you do.)

I do not have that mod, or script, but, thank you for trying.

It was a different mannequin script causing my crashes too. Do you get CTDs when entering anywhere else?

Also, you gave very little information for anyone to go on, and whining doesn't really encourage people to try. How about if you post the list of mods you are running, so maybe someone will be able to tell if they already figured out how to fix this? Also, enable payrus debugging, and post the debug logs. If it's a script causing the crash, it should be pretty easy to get sorted with a debug log.

No, I'm not getting CTDs anywhere else. Also, I shot off an email to Bethesda support. They instructed me to start off with a new installation. When I asked whether I could, or should reinstall any mods, I was told no, that they do not support any mods at all.

Lol, nice. Though I guess not entirely unexpected. (That was a nervous laughter lol.)

Well can you please post your crash log and mod list? maybe then we could see what's causing the crashes

Or deactivate all your mods, try again to see if it works, and activate your mods one by one until you bump onto the culprit. On my side, the game crashes every time I exit the game.
