KnightRangersGuild
I have successfully completed my quest I made and it works great, but 1 problem though, I can't figure out why It's not recording dialogue? Topics and written dialogue are done and work good but when I hit record... and then preview, I hear nothing. I've tested my mic and it works. I've also created a custom voice file but still nothing... can someone help please it's a great fun well done clean quest and I would like to release it ASAP, any help would be super duper and you will be thought of as a Saint! Edit: It does appear to be recording and it has a lip file with it but I hear nothing ingame What am I doing wrong??? Please help Edited August 24, 2012 by KnightRangersGuild

littleork
I would suggest that you use this guide: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Voice_Acting:_A_Complete_Guide And this is the official one http://www.creationkit.com/Bethesda_Tutorial_Dialogue I used the first guide and it has been working very well. littleork
the only reason I see why it would'nt play the voice, is because of that bug in the ck (the info about it is in the second link). What I did what just record the line with audacity and change the name to fit with the sound file name that goes with the dialog, you would also need to change the extension to .xwm and put then in : data/sound/voice/*modname.esp*/femaleargonian femaleargonian an example of the voice type(I am sure you know what I mean at this point anyway). And of course, make sure that the npc who says the dialog has the good voice type. You might have actually try this but I figured I would explain in details what I did just in case. littleork
Well it just seems to me that the game doesn't see them, so it can be a few things, wrong file name, bad directory but I can't see your creation kit so it's hard to tell :S.
gasti89
Have you now got both WAV and XWM for every dialogue in the directory? If yes, maybe the game gets stuck because it doesn't know wich file to read. Also, it's reported that sound files give a lot of troubles with skyrim. The more stable format seems to be FUZ for dialogues. Download Skyrim Audio Converter To convert WAV to FUZ you have to also input the correct lip file (so you have to do them one by one).
