Help with updating a mod

Hi

 

I have a mod on Steam workshop which is no longer supported by the creator and I would like to update the mod so it works again for personal use. The problem is I am only able to modify very basic things and when opening the mod file I am confused as hell and would like some support.

 

The Game is Total War Warhammer and the mod is called Raise Undead Necromancy Overhaul.

 

The mod changes an already exisiting in game spell which usually summons a unit to summon a different unit. The game has been updated recently and now the mod no longer works. I assume this is because the unit table db was updated however as I mentioned earlier I opened the mod and became very confused about what I needed to edit to make the mod work again.

 

Any help or advice would be welcome. I have downloaded the assembly kit and pack file manager.
