CTDs when opening the books tab when a modded spell tome is in my inventory/the spells tab when a I have a modded spell

So I'm trying to make a spell mod that comes with a spell tome, but I can't test it because the game instantly CTDs when trying to go to the books tab to read the spell tome, or when trying to go to the spells tab to equip the spell. I've heard this happens when the 3D models are screwed up or something along those lines, but I simply used another spell/spell tome as a base, then turned them into completely separate items, so they should already have models...right? I'm only using alternate start and onetweak on top of the mod I'm making, unless you count the High Res Texture Packs to be mods, but here's a list anyway.
