Hunting.

I love hunting and living off the land really trying to make the game as realistic as possible so where do you think the best hunting areas are? What do you do to really get inside the game to make it as real as possible? What weapons and armor do you use. What race are you I wanna know it all.

Best Hunting areas I believe would be the Rift and on the Tundra's: the area of land directly to the west of Whiterun.....both are rich with wild life.

 

What I do for realism: Though I don't use mods to enforce it....

 

1/ My Dragonborn eats twice a day, a balanced diet though high in protein due his lifestyle....no stews, just meat, fruit/veg, bread and cheese....Drinks water, milk and juices at regular intervals (get a little drunk in the evenings though...he prefers Mead).

 

2/ He sleeps reasonable hours, usually 7-8 hours per night....if he has to spend a whole night up (a rare event), he will sleep longer hours the next night.

 

3/ Bathes regularly...at the least once every two days.

 

4/ Never Fast Travels...doesn't take carriages either.

 

5/ Does not using healing potions at the height of battle...he must break out of combat and be given a reasonably long enough break to do so.

 

6/ Doesn't loot to full capacity, never takes weapons or heavy armor...he loots gemstones, potions, soul gems, pelts, septims, clothing, food and drink.

 

7/ He has his own personality, code of principles, etc....along with a fully developed back story...and is staunchly RP'ed....staying within his character.

 

8/ I also use a small number of environment mods...animal behaviors, etc...to further realize the world he is in.

 

What weapons, armor and Race:

 

Is a Nord male (Ro'aan Kane) with race height adjusting mod and body slider set on max...is a big man...that said though, his specialty is agility and stealth based combat...a stealthy Archer with Duel Wield back up.

 

His weapons are one Bow, one Crossbow, with quiver for each and two short swords...and poisons....this is all he will carry too, no back ups.

 

His Armor...he favors the Forsworn Armor....in my game the Forsworn Armor has a snow leopard retexture....he does smith his armor and weapons to get them to peak performance.

 

He also carries a bedroll and flint (campfire) with him.

thanks for the reply.

that has given me a few ideas for my new game that im starting.

also if possible while your out and about :P if you find anywhere in the wild that is reasonably flat and hidden and let me know please as i am creating hunting camp mods for my game at the minute and i have set one up in riverwood as a player home/camp because i always go there but i want some really hidden places.
