ASIS patcher error - Duplicate EDIDs or FormIDs

I screwed up my mods and ASIS started causing CTDs. Did some research and learned that I needed to re-run the patcher. Now everytime I run it, I get the following error:

 

There was an error exporting the custom patch.

(Duplicate EDIDs or FormIDs. Check logs for a listing.)

 

Please contact Leviathan1753.

 

I researched this error and I found a few instances of people asking questions about it in the official ASIS thread, but could not find an actual fix. I've deleted all the files, re-downloaded the mod, restarted the PC several times, ran the bat file as administrator, everything I found that could help with SkyProc errors. No love. Hopefully someone out there has seen this one before and has a fix. Thanks!

 

Edit: I'm running the beta version now... it's been exporting ASIS.esp for about five minutes now, seems like it's hung... but I'll give it some time.

I resolved the issue by using the beta version of the patcher, which is available under the Files section of the mod page here on the Nexus. If anyone else has this problem, give that a try.

PLEASE tell me this isnt the only answer. the new beta doesnt give increased spawns. so if this is the answer, ASIS is getting uninstalled. it doesnt do the single thing i want it to do.

Ive seen you on several other error threads Elizinator, what you need to do it post your most recent papyrus log and/or do a complete re-install of Skyrim and all of your mods. I would also suggest reading up on how to properly mod your game and watching Gopher's series of videos on how to do so to prevent you issues from occurring.

the thing is, my issues arent recurring. i get new ones, but the old ones go away.

 

i *did* make a new install, and it fixed a lot. but with it, i installed the beta ASIS 1.33-2, which caused EXACTLY the error described above. it does not generate a papyrus log. it generates no log whatsoever. right now, its just about the only problem im having.

 

EDIT: found the answer! this happens when ASIS.esp is trying to combine some mods that are duplicates of one another. in my case, i accidentally had all of the MoM esps active!
