CBBE port (with bodyslide) request for New Vegas

some of you have played skyrim surely...

and some of you know of the great female body replacer/modification called CBBE (Calientes Female Body Mod Big Bottom Edition) that makes your character's/NPCs' body as style/shape as you want (there is a bodyslide application for it that let you extremely customize the body).

the CBBE has even a vanilla outfit pack that lets the clothes form-fitting just as you made the body measurements.

i think this mod is extremely good and should be an almost must-have.

what do you think about this idea? could it be good for New Vegas? do you want to have it?

for more info about the mod, with pictures:

Caliente gave permission to port it entirely to New Vegas, even helps if you are willing to make it for New Vegas.

that should be great to find someone who has the time and willing to port this magnificent mod!

I've managed to import the body mesh into blender but there is a problem.

Skyrim's NPC skeleton has (so far) four more bones than the Fallout skeleton. On top of that their nodes are named differently. That may not matter but regardless, if I can get past the bone issues, then it's possible to port the mesh.

However, I will have to contact the author myself to verify that it is okay to port.

The major issue I see is the head - will it work with Fallout's Face system. I'm saying no on that, and if that's the case then someone will have to edit the head mesh of Fallout heads to match up with the body mesh.

Another issue of course is clothing, someone other than me will have to modify them to fit this new model - if it's plausible to port it.

I deal with game mechanics, scripting, worldspace design, LOD, everything you can think of except meshes and textures.

@ Kuro

I would be *ecstatic* if you were able to successfully port CBBE body to New Vegas. I know BodySlide would be out of the question -- which is fine. Just a working cbbe mesh for FNV would be amazing.

I have yet to find a larger-cup body mesh for FNV/FO3 that satisfies me. My *ideal* mesh for Fallout would be type 3 body with CBBE cup size -- the type 3 base would ensure that most armor (other than chest armor meshes) would fit, and I could slowly re-shape those to fit cbbe in time, on my own.

Please keep exploring this!

Thanks!

I see a lot has changed since I have been occupied... wowee.

Regarding this, though...

Import the fallout skeleton and parent it to this body. When you go to export, you will find out if there are any vertices weighted to those mystery bones. They will be highlighted for you.

You might be able to get away with picking the analogous bone from the fallout skeleton, in the vertex group menu, and assigning those vertices the applicable group. But you will probably be better off importing a fallout body, and parenting the FO skeleton to both old and new bodies, and then copying the weights from the existing FO body to the CBBE unweighted vertices.

After export, you may find that the animation looks like crap, in which case you will want to copy all the weights (or at least the problem areas) from the FO body (or do it by hand if that's your thing).

I assume you would want to keep the fallout heads, in which case you may need to work on the CBBE textures to minimize the mismatch. Other than that, as long as you keep the neck vertices in the same position with the proper weight, fallout head should work fine. Same deal with hands.

You are right about the clothes, there would have to be a whole new conversion for all the clothes and armor to work with this body.

PEACE
