projectile light source

Hi guys.

 

I've played nv for a long time now, and I've been dabbling with a a few mods here and there, one of which is the darker nights mod. Now the darker nights made me realize something I've not noticed before. The incinerator's fire projectiles don't emit any light. I'm sure many other large projectile weapons don't either, but this one really bugs me. I've searched around and there doesn't seem to be any mod that adds this.

 

My question is, how would I go about doing this in the geck (if at all possible)?

That's disappointing.

 

Just a thought but, do you think it would be possible to figure out where a projectile will land and script a light source to appear for a couple of seconds(while the fire burns) then remove it? I think I may be reaching here a little though.

 

Or a gun that makes a light source where you shoot perhaps?

Yes! This is just what I was looking for. At least as proof of concept.

 

Now all I need to do is figure out how to make this work with the incinerator, make the flares invisible and have them burn out in 3-4 seconds.
