AViewerOfThings
There was an odd visual bit of a race I downloaded, a single brown stripe across the front of the waist. I had disabled it in Vortex for a bit, but I wanted to come back to it and compare part of the texture between that race and another. I opened the .dds texture files in paint.net, since that was just what I had, to compare, then decided to re-enable the mod in Vortex. However, this error came up. I know it probably has something to do with what I just did, but I have no idea how to fix it. Do I need to get it to open with another program? Do I need to do something else? Thanks in advance! anjenthedog
I opened the .dds texture files in paint.net Close Paint.Net. I sometimes run into a similar message when Bodyslide Studio is open and I'm attempting to install/enable a mod. Afaik, the message simply means the resource is open in another application and has a file-lock flag set, so Vortex can't fiddle with it during the mod-enable processing. If you literally want to view them side by side, use the DDS in Paint.Net to make a copy, open the copy with Windows picture viewer (or paint.net) but make sure the original resource is NOT open in Paint.Net (or Bodyslide, or Photoshop, or whatever) when you go to re-enable (or install) the mod (or alternatively, open the DDS in Paint.Net after re-enabling the mod) PS> At least I *think that's what's happening. If not, my apologies for the post clutter...
