Different bug in Discerning the Transmundane

I've just got done searching through the forums, and I see lots of bugs with this quest, but not the one I've run into. I've managed to give Septimus the blood, and he opened the box, but he just freezes. His character locks as busy, but nothing gets him to do anything and I can't pick up the Oghma Infinium. I've left, waited, hit him, shouted at him, but I can't get him do anything.

 

I'm also really bad with console commands, so I have no idea what to do to step this forward. In the quest journal, it still says to give him the blood, but the box is opened and he has the blood. I'm level 62 or 63 so that isn't a problem, but I came to Septimus after finding the Blood Scroll for the vampires and doing the mainquest up to this point.

and better bolts and arrows.

 

EDIT: Killed him and it worked. Now if only I could fix these C++ errors.

I ran into this same issue I think it has soemthing to do with the Dawnguard Quest locations screwing something up cause I'm done with the Dawnguard quest and the only mod I have that you do activated would be the SkyUI but thats a mod alot of people have which would make this error well documented. Maybe its a combo of something I'm not sure... if killing him works that would help Thank you for the Update
