Weird lack of animation when moving while sneaking.

So I just recently reinstalled Skyrim and downloaded a ton of mods. Loot and FNIS don't say I have any issues, and the game runs pretty much perfectly, but whenever I move while crouched, my character just goes into an A-pose and glides around.

 

I've never posted here before, so I'm not entirely sure how all this works, but any help would be appreciated.

It's never a "lack" of animation when you talk about standard animations. Because standard animations like sneak are always there (in the Skyrim bsa files). Unfortunatley you don't provide any useful informations (what animations regarding sneak did you install, since when did this happen, how does your FNIS output look like, ...). But the most plausible cause is that you have installed an (sneak) animation replacer for Oldrim.

Did you make sure you had ALL required mods for some of your mods and followed all needed steps?

Also make sure, IF this is the case .... read the description page carefully:

Note: You will have to run a generator tool GenerateFNISforUsers.exe (part of FNIS Behavior) every time you have installed or uninstalled FNIS, or an FNIS based mod. In addition, when you uninstall a mod that uses FNIS Creatures, you first have press the "De-Install Creatures" button, before you run the "Update FNIS Behaviors"

The glide effect is a common side effect with the above mod either NOT being installed when it should be and/or the instructions not being fully followed through with.

Have followed every guide and scoured the internet but have not found a satisfactory fix for the Crouch/sneak A pose glitch reinstalled FNIS disabled mods went through them one by one still no joy configured everything correctly still same.

 

Tried Vanilla skyrim and it works fine but no joy with FNIS though mo2 on Skyrim SE everything else works fine but as soon as you go into crouch/sneak all characters A pose..

 

Has anyone discovered what causes this at all??

Sounds like your sneak animations might have become corrupted. You might want to check over at Bethesda for their Skyrim integrity tester/fixer.
