Vortex not install all of my mods.

rmm200:

Ok I can verify my sanctuary bridge textures are showing up in both locations, but not loading in game. The game is using the default blurry textures. (1 example I have found)

I have whole mods that are not textures not being added as well. I'm starting to think this is beyond a vortex issue?

Also: Thank you for your patience.

You won't like this part... Some things get baked into saves.

Try a new game and see if your textures show up.

Loose files like in the Textures folder always take precedence over files in archives like BA2s, so that can't be it.

You say "whole mods that are not textures" are not being added. Define what you mean - their ESP is not found in the Data directory? Or you don't see them in game?

Well good news is this is a fresh start I installed the mods before I even started this play through.

This is the process outline I followed:

I had uninstalled and deleted all game and mod files .

Then removed game saves and settings etc.

I then downloaded the game.

Once the game was downloaded, I ran the launcher and started new game.

I exited after I got the the mirror where you create your character (without saving) just to create the needed configs etc.

After the above, I went through the p[painstaking process of downloading all my mods to make sure i had all the updated versions.

Only after all of the above did I start installing and enabling mods. Starting with precursor mods like cbbe, bodyslide, looksmenu etc.

Then texture overhauls then down to the overwrites for individual pieces I wanted over that in the overhaul.

I proceeded then to install build mods followed by clothing, armor and other miscellaneous mods.

Mods I have found so far not working (I have barely got back from Concord and started attempting to build sanctuary):

Regrowth overhaul, Advanced Turrets, Homemaker, Much of the clothing mods are not in the chem or cooking station menus as they should be, NMC bridge texture not working, just for those I have notice thus far. Seems a bunch of menus are missing in the build menu. ( Vanilla is all there and some mo menus are there but some are not.)

I'm seeing that some are not being added into the game data directory. Others are showing in the folder but not in game. Am I just totally Foobar? lol

Simplify - simplify.

Do your precursor mods.

Then pick exactly one mod you feel does not install.

Make sure all of it's prereqs are installed.

Start your game - make sure everything works.

Now install that one problem mod that you say is not being added to the game directory. Make sure you Deploy.

Once you verify it is not in the Data directory - come back and tell us the mod name. We (me) can try it and see what is going on.

Menus: Be aware Fallout 4 has a pretty severe limit on menus. Add too many and they simply do not show up in Workbench.

For a description, check out this mod:

I would like to update this thread.

I'm 98% sure This has nothing to do with vortex not installing mods properly. I reinstalled F4SE and game crashes. Because of this, I believe F4se was not starting properly in the first place. I thank you both greatly for your help. Now I just have to find which mod(s) are causing this and I will be fine I'm sure.

Again, thank you.
