Separated Imperial Palace Cuirass

Hello,
I suck at blender so I wish someone could do me this favor. To make it quick:

The mesh for the imperial palace cuirass can not be separated in nifskope, as you can see in green:


The mesh for the legion cuirass however can, again, as you can see in green:


Both meshes have to be somewhat different, as applying either ones texture on the other doesn't look right (Noticeable on the back).

If someone could do me the favor to remove the "skirt" (Same as the one highlighted in green on the regular legion cuirass) from the mesh of the palace cuirass, I would be thankful.
