Thasic
I haven't played Skyrim in a few months but bought Dawnguard and thought to give it a try. However, the game barely loads, taking 3 or 4 minutes to actually load up a new game. I deleted and re-installed but that did not help at all. Is this a problem with the new patch or Dawnguard or something else? I have no mods running and I played Skyrim fine a few months back. I have a pretty good rig and played on high settings before but now can barely load on low settings. Any advice? I use a Nvidia GE Force GTX 560Ti and a Intel Quad Core i7 CPU with 8Gb of ram. sinnerman69
click on the disc and view the options there and see if windows mode is checked or has a check mark, sometimes it gets checked to show all resolutions gets checked here's my setting's as a example, the smaller window on the right is from advance setting's window http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z383/Craigsters/mysettings.jpg Edited August 26, 2012 by sinnerman69
vasthrana
Thasic Try tweaking your memory settings... In your My Games folder in Documents you will find your Skyrim folder containing your Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini. Open Skyrim.ini in notepad and change the following in the [General] section:fMasterFilePreLoadMB=256.0000iPreloadSizeLimit=528435456iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=4000000000 If these settings are not there, add them. Let us know if this helped xD Edited August 26, 2012 by vasthrana
