Oomile
Like the title says, I decided to finally make the switch over to vortex and oh boy do I feel like that was a dumb idea, now none of my mods work. At all. So I imported them all over to Vortex enabled them the whole nine yards but now whenever I launch FO4SE and try to load my save game, it's claiming I am missing ALL of the mods, and doesn't load any of them in, NMM seemed to work just fine Vortex so far seems to be a bust why fix something that's not broken? Why did Nexus decide to switch to a broken Mod manager?
rmm200
1) I don't recommend importing mods from NMM. Uninstall them in NMM, clean your game directory, then install them from Vortex. A few at a time until you know they work.2) Mods are not added to the game until you hit Deploy. That activates all your Enabled mods.3) I run several hundred mods over 10 games. Vortex works fine.4) Watch an introductory videop on Vortex. Gopher has a good one, and it will help you a lot.
BigBizkit
LNMM seemed to work just fine Vortex so far seems to be a bust why fix something that's not broken? To be honest that is what I am wondering with your post. Assuming that you were happy with your setup, why did you decide to move over to Vortex? We tried to make it clear that we do not recommend moving over if you have a stable setup - no point fixing what isn't broken. We also highlight that the import cannot account for the various ways NMM can mess up an existing mod installation and thus it cannot be your one-click easy solution for moving hundreds of mods over. I am legitimately curious to know why you still decided that a) moving over from a (supposedly) stable setup was necessary and why b) you apparently did not head the warnings on step 1 of the import process. The most painfully obvious reason is that opening NMM now generates an error message at login that says, "This ain't support no more. Use Vortex." But other than that I can't think of any reasons.
