Solaries Posted August 27, 2012 Share Posted August 27, 2012 I've been trying to find a way to replicate the EagleEye30 perk's zoom ability but make it not require a bow. I was thinking this might be doable through custom hotkeys, or perhaps pressing block while weapons are sheathed. Being able to zoom at will fits with a more hardcore, methodical play style, and simulates human vision to some degree. For an example of how this plays look to the ArmA 2 engine, and clips such as in this clip below, where the player, in first person, is able to zoom in some what, allowing them to see something in greater detail. You could effectively scout a location this way from a hill at at distance, for example. Currently one could only do that if they were zooming with an arrow at the ready. Perhaps someone could point me in the correct direction to be able to do this myself? I've tried to find out how, but I've not found any way to create entirely new perk effects. I was starting to think the whole zoom in with a bow thing is hard-coded and can't be used with something else, I just couldn't see how anything would work without having a arrow drawn. Is this even possible to do, I would LOVE such a thing from an SKSE keypress function. I've yet to see a mod that does this, even on the Nexus I'm not familiar with writing code but this would be extremely simple with SKSE.
