Colorize
So lately, slow but steady, every mod is being duplicated with Czech or Russian translations.I think its pretty unnecessary.
TheVampireDante
There's a filter by tag system, just block them.

gurgelstock
I think its pretty unnecessary. I assume that's because you speak neither czech nor russian... ;)I can't use them either but that doesn't render them 'unnecessary'
gasti89
What if the main gaming languages were Russian and Czech, so every mod was released in those languages? Wouldn't you want a translation in English because you don't understand other languages? What if Russians and Czechs said "English? Pfffff, is it necessary?" bben46
Also, Please help us with tags. When you see a mod with no tags or that you think needs one that isn't used, Tag it - this is what makes the tag search work.
Bess
Maybe "Czech" could be added to the language tags? Most of the mods probably have the word in the title, so finding them isn't much of a problem, but right now they can be tagged only as "Other languages". There are already 260+ files with "Czech" in the title (even more with it in the description) -- that's way more than you find searching some of the other named languages. Another thing: anyone wanting to block mods on the basis of language should be aware that some people turn on every single language tag available, so any tag you block will keep those mods from showing up, too. AndrewOverload519
From my experience, another idea is to ask the person who would translate (or had already translated) the mod to send the translated version to you so that you can then upload it yourself under your mod page, which is what I've done with the Cube of Transmutation mod. If you wish, you could even let them edit your mod page so that they can easily update their translated versions without having to ask you over and over, provided that they would keep their hands to themselves and don't edit anything else. Result, a cleaner Nexus and there is STILL more downloads for your mod! :D
KorJax
Fact of the matter is, after Oblivion was out for a few years, the Elder Scrolls series has gathered a massive russian/czech fanbase. Especially as mods came out. Skyrim obviously is huge there, and likely bigger than almost any game released in that region. So you can imagine why this time around, we're getting a lot of russian mod translations, nude girl/anime mods, sexy mods, etc compaired to Oblivion's early modding community and Morrowind's modding community. As an aside, I don't mean to steriotype the russian elder scrolls audience as anime/girl loving, but fact of the matter is those things are very popular there as well - eastern europe is very culturally friendly to nudity, and is very patriarchal (men have much more dominance/power there, so the "male fantasy" is a popular concept) in the media and such things. So nude women are obviously very popular for young men everywhere over there (more than what people would find acceptable in the west) - and as such, why the nude/sexy/etc aspect of modding for Skyrim (also hugely popular) has grown so big compared to older games in the series. AlexanderJVelicky
My mods have all been translated into Russian and none of them contain nudity, overdone obscenity, or anime girls... I think mods can be translated into whatever language they want. If you see one in another language, tag it as such and then don't check that tag when searching. For my mod when someone offers to translate, I always just have them host it on their preferred site, so that people who speak only another language (Like RU or CZ) don't have to try to navigate an English website to use the translated version. It works out better for everyone. But some people still post translations here, so just tag 'em and move on.
