Flumme
(Sorry, my english is not really good). Hello, I have a problem with SKYRIM - Racemenu (I think it is Racemenu, I'm not sure). Somebody could help me, please? Problem: When I start the game SKYRIM with all the mods .... I can't start it. It just don't "open". If I try to start it with SKSE it happen nothing. If I try to start it through Steam I see the Launcher, I can work here but when I hit the Button: "Play", nothing happens at all. :ohmy:If I disable the basic Racemenu file .esp the game starts. BUT: Ingame no Racemenu at all ... just the Vanilla version. I have the Vortex Mod Manager. I made a screenshot of all the other mods I have right now (see attach file please). I have always the SE Version of the mod's (hope so), it was not easy to find them. I had to search a lot in google. Addition: SKSE I try the 2.0.15 Version AND the old 2.0.13 version ... no difference. FNIS don't give me any warnings (anymore). I have the Racemenu version RM v0-3-4 from here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19080?tab=files Would be really nice if somebody could help me please. I'm stucked with this problem right now till two days. I could not find something helpfull in Google. But my english is not really as good. Thanks a lot and *Hugs*
rmm200
You have the absolute simplest load list of anyone I have seen post here. This should be easy...Install TES5Edit and run it. It will tell you what mods it finds installed and if you are missing any Masters.I would also post your problem to the Racemenu mod topic.Nothing you have said so far implicates Vortex;, debug it as a simple mod incompatibility. Disable all the Schlongs related mods and enable Racemenu. Does that start? Not much else you can disable. Although you don't need xpmse.esp. That just adds a bunch of animations. Note: Run Skyrim SE one time from Steam. When you get the banner, click Options. Set your monitor options appropriately. Resolution, etc. Save Options then Exit. This gets your ini file set up. Flumme
 Lot of HUG's and Thanks  Will start to work through your post and I will do everything you told me here. :-) If I find a new information about this problem, I will post it here. (My list is very short cause I'm just starting to mod Skyrim  But cause I'm a modding idiot I very accurate about the information I get. And one information told me: "Always install first the "big mods". The mods witch are requiret from other mods or the programs and basic mods and so on. And all this mods have to work proper BEFORE you add other mods." I still want to install hundert of mods, but first this basic mods have to work. First the work, then the pleasure ... So I startet with the Mod's required for the Skyrim-Romance mod from here: https://skyrimromance.com/installation/  ) EDIT: I disabled the XPMSE and the Schlongs (one after the other) but nothing chances. rmm200
Your approach is exactly right. A lot of users start off with the 200 mods they want - and then ask here why it does not work. Mandatory disclaimer: I don't work here. I am just another mod user - like yourself. I just have more battle scars.
Flumme
Sooo ... I made a full new installation of everything. I deleted manuell every folder, everythink. Made a fresh new installation of the game, of every mod. And ... still the same problem. And right now I have only this few mods installed ..... EDIT: If somebody have the same problem, I made a request here in the Mod Forum, too: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19080/?tab=forum&topic_id=7700183 . rmm200
I found your post on "Skyrim won't start with Racemenu installed". So you are not the only one. Switch to the Plugins page. Well the one you always do screenshots of. Click on the Enabled button next to one of the Racemenu esps to disable it. Does that work? If not click it again to enable it and disable the other one. Does that work?
Flumme
Hello, ;-) In my mind your Mr. Scar right now.  I made this right from the beginning: If I disable the main Racemenu.esp the game starts normal, but WITHOUT the mod. But I need this horrible mod for many other mods ... :yucky:If I disable RacemenuPlugin.esp (and Racemenu.esp is enabled) the game just don't start .... And there are a few people with this problem and nobody in the Racemenu forum seem to (could) help them  : - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624/?tab=forum&topic_id=7439896- https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624/?tab=forum&topic_id=7533136- https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624/?tab=forum&topic_id=6822117 EDIT: I have problems to get TES5 do work ... *shame*
rmm200
You really don't need RacemenuPlugin. It is the Racemenu.esp that does all the work. So it has to work. Next thing to look at is SKSE. Tell us exactly how you installed it. I recommend following the instructions in the SKSE download. Unzip it - and read them. The executable bits have to be in the game directory.Just as important, the pex files have to be in Data/Scripts. You should be able to look in your game drrectory and see them. As long as racemenu is enabled and you hit Deploy. stop Vortex.Starting through Vortex just adds one more bit of confusion. Sart skse64_loader.exe directly from the game directory. Flumme
Thanks a lot for your efforts. I suppose I will not get a lot of help in the Racemenu forum. Some threads are 2 months old and nobody have answerd their question. I made a little Walkthrough in english/german for myself (with basic information I get) ... if I ever install Skyrim again ... I will copy what I wrote there mom .... - SKSE (Programm)(Current SE build 2.0.15 (runtime 1.5.73))Open the skse folder, take everything out (not the SRC folder and the text files) and put it into the skyrim special edition main folder where the .exe is. Start it one time, the exe!!Einstellungen über die Steam/Skyrim machen (Launcher dort), aber Spiel über die SKSE.exe stets starten! My good friend Ace wrote me this information. She is a modder (but for other games). And below is writen that I have to start the game always by the skse.exe .
rmm200
Now when I told you you don't need the xpmse.esp plugin, you still need the skeleton. Make sure you always have the xpmse mod enabled. And run FNIS.I have set my system up as close to yours as I can get... My word my character is dirty - and ugly... The only difference I get is I have a file sosracemenu.esp which is part of xpmse. No idea why your plugin list does not show it.And no xpmse.esp.Maybe because you disabled the xpmse mod. Well the other difference is mine comes up and runs... What happens if you start from Steam? That won't use SKSE. And have Steam validate your files.
