Just a question on Armor models

So, I'm working on a Dwarven Race Mod (not the lore-friendly Dwemer though, I'm making Tolkien-esque Dwarves), and to simulate the short and stocky feeling, I created a custom body model, rather than just opening up the Nord in the creation kit and turning down the height, however, this presents a problem, the Armor models won't automatically alter themselves to fit the new body, so I had to alter them to fit the new body, but I don't know how to make the new models only show up for the Dwarves, as if I just replace the original models, I will have the same problem as I originally had, just the other way around, so I ask you all this, does ANYONE know how to make an Armor model show up for a certain race only, while displaying the original model on the vanilla races?

Look at the way helmets for most armors are set up for the beast races.

 

The short sloppy explanation that will hopefully lead you in the right direction:

1. you need to make a new armor addon for your race specifically. Like all the beast race helmets for instance.

2. Then when setting up the armors you should see a drop down menu with the races. From there choose your race and add the armor addon you created just like you do for the default races

Thanks, this should help a lot, hopefully it won't be too long until I'm done now, I just have to re-size every armor in the game once I get the models to work.
