Choosing a language for the mainpage would be nice, cuz Im not interested in russian translations, for example. They should only show up for russian speaking people.

that does seems like a excellent idea, might take a while for the nexus to sort it all out, but would probably make it a much easier experience to use the nexus.

I was just going to mention merging the translations into the same page as the original mod. Since we have upload variations of one mod to the same page, why not just do the same with the different language versions?

Unfortunately, there is no simple way to separate out various languages except through the tag search. For what you are asking we would need a separate Nexus for each language - and that's not going to happen. Today was unusual as we had a bunch of translations hit all at once - my guess is a translator uploaded all of his translations at one time. Typically there are not that many.

 

Please remember that some of the English language mods you see are actually translations from other languages. As English is our default language, these are usually not tagged. If we were to ban translations being uploaded we would lose all of those also.

 

Hopefully we will eventually get the tag system working well enough to filter on the front page as well as in the search, and with a Y/N option instead of just a yes.

 

If you really want to see that, you could help by tagging files that don't have tags or need additional tags. :thumbsup:

If you're in a tiff about having to go through multiple pages of translations before finding the original, just set the search results to be arranged by descending upload date.
