Can't mod skyrim anymore ... feeling so dumb ... and sad :'(

I played Skyrim for years, always with mods, mostly without problems. At least without problems to find, download and install mods. I recently made a break for ... I don't know how much time but I think before I quit there was no Vortex.

A few weeks ago I started Stardew Valley and tried Vortex to mod it: No Problems. Vortex seems like a pretty good software, once you figured out how to use it. So I wanted to try it out on Skyrim. And thats were my problems begin.

 

The first thing I realised is ... where did all the mods from nexus go? I know there are a shitton of mods on nexus but way to often a link to a required mod seems to be a dead end. Its ... confusing. Plus I hate this crap that the search filters don't apply for every side ... I just don't give a f about Skyrim VR or translations, I don't want them to enlarge my search list :'(

Okay, that was strange and maybe annoying, but not the problem. The problem is: I found my mods, I installed them via Vortex, Vortex said "Yaii!" and Skyrim said "What Mods?". It just wont load any mods I installed for Skyrim and I really don't know wheres the problem, theres no error, no ctd, no nothing! Its just skyrim vanilla ...

... so I tried to get back to the days where it worked, good old NMM. It appears that I can't even install it. But at least I got an error here:

(Google translator here, I'm sorry!) "The syntax for the filename, directory name or volume label is incorrect"

 

→ Great, at this point all the things I wrote were deleted and I have to edit this post again. What the f to the uck is wrong here?!

 

Soo, Vortex won't work, NMM won't work, nothing works except for vanilla Skyrim. In the past it all feels so simple and to be honest, it makes a lot of fun, even if I accidently installed a mod that breaks the game. But now, nothing works and I really don't understand why and how. I'm just a casual "waht to have everything but knows nothing"-type of gamer, I don't know a thing about programming and to be honest, I can read and talk mostly in english but its definitly not the yellow from the egg (german saying) and really not enough to just solve problems here on my own.

Right now I'm just sad and I feel so dumb, there HAS to be something I'm doing wrong but I just don't know what!

 

I would be so glad if you could help me so I can use either Vortex or NMM properly, I relly don't want to install the mods manually, i fear that this will be no fun at all and it's just horrible.

It would be awesome if you could help me without comments like "Use google" or "have you tired turn it on and off yet?" - Yes, I'm no programmer, I can't write mods on my own but I'm not moldy bread dumb. Thank you!
