ihateregisteringeverywhere
Nope :). But I do recal a very strange tutorial on exporting particles from max... It mentioned using ocult methods like creating blank helpers to contain the particle node data. Very confusing.
jaysus
that sound good... do you remember more than that by chance? http://saidenstorm.googlepages.com/oblivio...imationtutorial <------------------------------
ihateregisteringeverywhere
Eh, me and my lazy memory, seems like that's it. As I mentioned. Ocult. No other words describes it better.
jaysus
mmh i dont see a problem will give it a look later tonight :) occult would be somin else i guess... like building the particle system with niftools XD
ihateregisteringeverywhere
Nope, building it in nifscope isn't ocult, it's depresive.
jaysus
btw well get the script in a few hours just got the reply but he seemed busy :) the saiden storm tut btw is quite easy but i just stumbled across a conflict between niftools and the civ4 exporter and am waiting for an answer now *sigh*
ihateregisteringeverywhere
You could ask him for permission to upload his tuts to the CSwiki while you're at it. Also combining what you(we) learn about it could result in a battle ready tut of your(our) own. Something more in-depth than you usualy get - both the nifscope and exporting method. I know what I'd name the tut - particular ocultism lol. Anyway, don't forget that his tuts are probably a tad-bit out of date by now. Send me a pm with it once you get it, I can't wait ;D. Oh and another thing. I was meaning to ask: Do you export colisions out of max, or do you paste your weapons into vanila ones and edit them to suit your stuff? If you're exportin' them then how do YOU do it, because everytime I export them this way I get a floatin model and if I try to change the havoc properties I get a very strange effect where my colision dissables the colision of everything surrounding it. And everytime I paste it from vanila models I get floating geometry with a disconnected collision. Only works right for me if I pasty my models into vanila weapons. ihateregisteringeverywhere
No problem, I'm halfway finished with quite a few models I'm doing for my teams big mod so I'm glad that I got trough the hoops of learning how to export them propperly and using nifscope before finishing them up. I should be the one thanking you :).
jaysus
i just paste em in vanilla ones till now lol... im a cheap angel i know :Pbut exporting collisions shouldnt be a problem i think :/ will try it once i mastered that particle stuff... and let you know :) (i could combine it with that hussars request maybe) saidens tut is also avaible at the nifskope wiki and i dont now till now what i would actually change since it seems absolutely plausible to me... mhh we'll see says the squirrel to the hawk...
