Holosword

The holo sword would be cluster cubes together that forms a sword indentical to the holorifle projectiles thats the main Idea

I'm working on a holo weapons, armor etc for the z-38 (OWB expansion). It simply places a holo effect on a weapon and gives it relatively infinite health. It doesn't have the holo cube effect, but I could add that on a successful hit. It wouldn't hurt to release it separately from teh owb exp. If that's something you want me to do, let me know what sword you want used as a base.

The idea is its suppose to be a sword that was made with holographic technogly Elijah was working on

Right and that impact of the holorifle is a special effect, not a mesh. So what I'm saying is instead of trying to use that, if you even could, you need to use a mesh and apply an effect to it.

But better yet apply the actual holo shader effect as I did with the laser rifle and use the holorifle impact special effect when the sword hits;

To give a good example of what it could look like using the technique devin is talking about: The proton axes of OWB were a holoshaded blade on a normally textured body, so you could have a bladelooking (or straight rod or whatever shape you could find modeled already [or modeled yourself]) projected hologram from the normal handle and when it struck it could do the holocubes effect. I doubt very much that a cluster of cubes would be hard to model but I don't know any modeling myself, I expect that any modeling tutorial would start you with simple geometric shapes though.
