ihateregisteringeverywhere
You know, I had the very same idea about 2 months ago. I'd like to hear your take on that.
madcow2008
They did it in FFXI online. They would deplete all stats except 1, then buff that one very high. The only good one was the sword of gluttony, +7 to Vitality. It would be easy to make Gluttony,Use OBSE to make the follwing enchants on a weapon/armor +7 Agility -3 Endurance -3 Intelligence -3: Personality -3: Speed -3: Strength -3: Willpower Or make it an Armor set. 5 Pieces of armor, 1 blade/blunt weapon and 1 shield.Give a set bonus to having all equipped,a nice long quest to acquire and Upload it so I can try it out.Done deal. ihateregisteringeverywhere
Neah, I was thinking about heavily scripted weapons. Like this: Lust: A zero damage bright red bow that would make any actor that you shoot with it friendly towards you- atleast until you attack the actor with something else. Would drain a whole lot of fatique for each shot fired Glutony: A black sword with an intricate feast themed handguard. Gives you damage every few seconds, has a strong and endless soul trap+absorb life enchantment. It could also force you to eat more often if you had a mod that enforces eating. The character would also automaticaly loot and eat/drink any foodstuff, alcohol included :D. Avarice: A gold rubies and diamonds encrusted mace, multiplies the gold or loot (skins, preciouss stones etc) found on victims killed by this weapon, Also increases mercantile, but decreases max HP and skill growth. Sloth: A pinkish or light blue knife that has a very powerfull unlimited charges paralize + poison damage enchantment, but has a horridly long time between two strikes, Also drains Speed and Strength. Wrath: A black and red claymore that deals the damage you recieved from an attacker to the attacker as extra damage. Also ups str, but decreases fatique rapidly Envy: A green stileto, has a poison effect that has higher damage against actors that have something - anything higher than you - stats, levels, money, armor count - whatever, realy. Pride: An gold and ivory longsword, increases your damage with every hit you give out, but the counter resets to zero if you get hit for more than 10% of your maxhp and youre dealt the counter value as extra damage. Increases str and agi, decreases max hp by a lot. While we're at biblical terms, I had similar ideas for riders of the apocalypse weapons/armor. Theese ideas are mostly gamebreaking, but meh. Conquest: A majestic but rotting and rusting armor with worms comming out, a white bow which would not let you equipt arrows. Noone and nothing would attack you, you couldn't attack anything either though. Each monster or person could be bribed into following you and fighting for you. War: A silver and black bloody greatsword. NPC's either attack each other or get attack by everyone after attacking you. Famine: A wooden shield with a dirty painting of weighting scales on it and a rusty shortsword with jaded edges. Both emit tiny black spot particles that cycle around the two. Gives nearby actors the search for food AI package with a top priority, Things you attack or attack you get sicknesses and are poisoned. Also drains faique from surrounding actors. Death. What else? A sickle and a cape naturaly + a broken lute as a neclace. Things in a larger area arround you have a 10% chance of dying each 10 seconds. things right next to you die instantly. Also sets nearby actors to a high probability of retreat and low agresion. Your speed is greatly lovered.
Keshyngul
I like most of your ideas for the 7 deadly sins ihateregistering! I would tweek some of the effects (mainly based on my limited scripting knowledge. a pro could probably get it done. Me, not so much) but I definitely like those ideas. madcow2008
I like the idea, very involved. You could also use the horseman as bosses along the 7DS questline. And if you want to really get biblical have your quest starter an angel. The whole line can revolve around stemming off events that would lead to the "Book of revelation" Style apocalypse. Complete with swarms of locusts and everything. And the ending would be you would have to fight an angel who wants to use his key to unleash... I just have a few different ideas for the buffs and the items: Lust- My idea for lust was the same, oddly enough Gluttony- an eye patch that absorbs magic and damage Wrath- Not just any claymore, something really evil looking like the sword from Berserk (Dragonslayer)...something huge! Disentagrates both weapons and armor, adds fire damage plus weakness to fire. Pride-a bracer that that gives you a nice shield bonus, at the cost of health avaravice- the above idea was nice sloth- I was thinking a piece of heavy armor with really high defense and protection , but is too heavy to move around in envy-the same
ihateregisteringeverywhere
I don't know why, but I felt like sins should be weapons, I'm actualy also thinking about a similar set of items(but not weapons) for the 7 heavenly virtues. I wanted glutony to realy be thirst and hunger unsated, that's why I thought it up to make you loose hp but gain hp if you hit someone. Thinking about it again making all foodstuff items give you some health would make sense as well. As far as wrath goes - miniwikiquotes: "may be described as inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger"..."the desire to seek revenge". Going out from this wrath has a... retaliational base so to speak. Making such enchantmens permanent means.. symbolicaly speaking... that the person would be pissed off all the time bascialy without a reson - and that isn't wrath, that's stres lol. That's why I was thinking along the lines "Hurt me and I'll hurt you tenfold". The extra damage could be fire though - to go with the symbolism. Pride. The love of self and your own abilities. Pride comes before the fall, right? That's what I had in mind when I thought up the effects of that weapon. Be pridefull, be strong, be smart, be skillied, love yourself and don't get hit, but be hurt that much more once you finaly fail. And sloth? Simply put that's lazyness, possibly also carelessness in a more medieval POW. That's why I wanted the weapon to be small and light, would allow you to kill with only a few strikes, Or jus strike and ignore the enemy. But would be very slow in swinging so that you wouldn't exhaust yourself. Dissallowing running, possibly even jumping would also be a makes-sense effect for the weapon. As far as the look of each of those weapons goes I looked at the 7 deadly sins pictures from blackeri on deviantart for inspiration. Sloth is realy cute lol ;D. Although I'm more of a wrath man. Malchik
Well, the mod Pov and I are working on has items named after the deadly sins - the Sword of Wrath, the Shield of Pride, the Gauntlets of Gluttony, the Boots of Sloth, he Bow of Envy, the Helmet of Greed and the Robe of Lust. This part of the mod is complete, tested and fully playable.
