chickenbrothel
Hey, guys. Whenever I try to run Skyrim HD 2K (and more specifically, when I install the "Misc" module), my game begins to lag very bad in towns when looking or aiming at certain areas. Sometimes it's so bad that my computer freezes up and goes to 0fps...yeah...0. And sometimes the screen seems to dim and flicker when it lags, the sort of behavior as if my graphics drivers are updating while I'm playing or something. It's odd. Now, I know the first thing to come to mind would be the simplest, most obvious answer: my computer can't handle it. But, these are my specs: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 Approx Total Memory: 3025 MB Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.80 GHz, Ram: 4.00GB Now, my computer doesn't have the greatest specs ever, I know, but it seems like I should be able to run Skyrim HD 2K no problem. Another thing is, my brother-in-law, who has a much weaker computer than mine, runs it just fine. So it seems strange to me that I wouldn't be able to. Now, I do have a few other high res mods installed: High res Face Maps for Men by Geonox, and a couple of high res clothing and armor re-textures. But other than that, the only thing I can think of is maybe it's just because I'm trying to run Sharpshooters ENB at the same time? Sharpshooters runs just fine though at around 50 - 60 fps until I install Skyrim HD 2K and then my computer acts like it's the end of the world. Three things to note - 1: This only happens in towns, and worst in Riften and Windhelm than anywhere else. 2: It's only when I'm looking or aiming the mouse in certain directions 3: it's when I install the "Misc" pack of HD 2K that really f**ks my computer for some reason. If anyone has any ideas or questions or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it! I can even list my mod load order if need be. Thanks!
