No Random Dragon Encounters

I know this has been discussed before, but I have not found a satisfactory answer. Each situation is unique, anyhow, as we all have different mods and such.

 

Anyway, the title says it all, I am now level 28 and have not had a single random dragon encounter. I have already completed up to the Kynsegrove quest, "A Blade in the Dark" in the main story line, but still have yet to have a single random encounter.

I can still find dragons at roosts, however.

I have been able to deal with it for a time, and now and then tried to figure out the issue on my own, but to no avail. This has become a very game-ruining issue for me and I would greatly appreciate any help. I'll start by listing my mods here.

 

Also note that I have changed the time scale from 20 to 15; in case that may be relevant to my issue.

I have news for you. Good news. Your solution is simple. NO random dragons appear while on the quest a blade in the dark. There is a global variable that prevents it. Proceed with the main quest to see dragons. :) If you are up to that point in the main quest you'll never see a random dragon again until a blade in the dark is complete. I should know I had the same problem. :biggrin:

Unfortunately, I have already finished that quest, and have just started Diplomatic Immunity.

Even in between "A Blade in the Dark" and "Diplomatic Immunity", I still get no random encounters.

This was also the case in between "Dragon Rising" and "A Blade in the Dark."

 

I think I may start a new game, and see if the problem persists there as well. Or maybe go through each mod and see which one is causing the problem, though I am loathe to do so, because it is a difficult bug to test. :wallbash:

hmmm I'm in a similar situation, level 12 with this character and no random encounters, reluctant to go through them all one at a time though since like you said, its a hard one to diagnose ...

a few thoughts,

 

move deadly dragons below more dragons

 

you have an ESM and and ESP of climates of tamriel, ??? unnecessary to have both i believe.

 

look into the unofficial patches borking dragon spawns. i will too, later though.
