thecowley
SO I tried to load a few mods with the vortex client, and after having them, I couldn't load my game. Game said I was missing dlc I had downloaded. I solved it by deleting the mods and having vortex disconnected from the game and not managing it. For reference, game is installed with origin. theskymoves
There have been numerous discussions on these boards of Vortex doing exactly what you've described: removing all official DLC by overwriting/replacing the AddIns.XML file. For installing DAzips, either DAO-ModManager or the native DAupdater.exe are the reliable choices, with the former being the ONLY way to install proprietary .override mods. (And no manager is required for manual overrides, they are just a matter of drag-and-drop.) Some reference links for 'best practice' modding of DAO: Using Dragon Age Mods for DummiesInstalling cosmetic mods for Dragon Age and it's a bit dated in terms of direct links to files being broken, but I think my own guide to DAO modding basics is still largely relevant:kh mods her game: DAO, Part 0 - The Basics… installation tips, utility things, and console stuff
