Invisible Weapon - Nifskoope

After seeing a greatsword added by a mod, I've been wanting to use it on my Nightblade build, but as a one handed weapon. I like to think I know what I'm doing in the Creation Kit, and have used Nifskope and the Construction Set to mod oblivion weapons in a similar way. After a bit of research I found that the terms used by Skyrim for one and two handed weapons are "WeaponSword" and "WeaponBack". So I booted up nifskope, change the string, and save as a new nif file.

After opening a random duplicated one handed weapon in the Creation Kit however, the whole program freezes upon loading the new nif in. The old model is in the preview render window, but static and none of the buttons work now. The only way to exit is to end process... I can't see anything that I'm doing wrong. I know there used to be a method of copying over blocks in Nifskope to a new weapon nif, but that didn't work either (and to be honest, I wasn't expecting it to.)

The furthest I managed to get with this, was a big white exclamation mark on a red diamond background in the preview window in CK, and that was because the textures files were not in the correct place. In game, this gave me an invisible weapon.

Does anyone know how to get this sword into the game as a one-hander? The sword I'm using, by the way, is Churchofsmalldog's Dragon Bone Weapons.

Thanks in advance!

Okay, I figured it out, I was just being stupid. Turns out either the texture files need to be unique (as in, 2 meshes can't use the same) or the nif file can't be named differently (as in, I was still using textures labelled greatsword while the nif was called longsword). Anyway, I've got it working now, and there wasn't a fix that I could find despite other people having encountered this issue. Just updating so that anyone looking to create something similar can find this if they're having the same problem.
