FMod Posted September 12, 2012 Share Posted September 12, 2012 I have posted this already in another thread.Even in particular games that use maximum amounts of memory, at very high resolutions, the advantage of 680 4GB is nonexistent to very small. VRAM amount isn't the bottleneck, narrow 256-bit bus is. As shown by 660Ti, where cutting down the bus and nothing else did in fact compromise the performance.670 is weaker than 680. It definitely doesn't need 4GB.If you feel like you need more than 2GB, take either 7970 or 680/4. Practically, today, the reasonable solution would be to take 670 (2GB of course) and wait till something actually decent comes on the market.
