sinnerman69
At first I had trouble installing Fallout New Vegas Ultimate edition, some steam firewall like sitting kept popping up, I clicked on some slider to do with that constantly popping up and moved the slider to never ask me that again , it was like the Windows firewall with it's slider, moving it to the bottom of the setting, after doing that I at first went back to trying to install the game with Steam in offline mode, but steam wont allow that, so I figured the tweaking I did missed my game and so I went to my control panel and removed Fallout New Vegas Ultimate edition again, and then clicked my DVD disc and ran the exe install for it and the second install worked, the first time steam couldn't verify my games exe something to do with that steam cache verify one item would verify during my first install try!.. I followed Fallout NV Troubleshooting guide some of the things that guide said to change wouldn't show up in find next in the Fallout ini file tell I worded a certain word to threadedai where as the guide page said to use bUseThreadedAI=1 it didn't come up in find next tell I used the word threadedai, I finally found it after the no caps search or capitol letters, the guide said disable visual themes on the games exe compatibility tab so I did and in the option it said to turn off V-sync and I had to google that and found that V-sync and vertical sync are the samething so I un-checked it too, I also changed the ifpsclamp=0 to ifpsclamp=60 like it suggested and briefly launched the game to see if it would and it did!.. Owe I read some where else to run the game in capability mode for Windows XP SP3 so I did that too even they my PC is Windows 7 premium SP1 I did a system restore backup a week or so ago because of network issues and used a backup from July 2011 and it worked and I fixed my network connection setting on my own, but some things where lost or renewed to that July 2011 backup and my game wasn't installed or found, that's why I had to re-install it!.. I believe my game runs in windows 32 bit and not the 64 bit mode here's my specs Dell Inspiron N7110 MS Windows 7 home premium 64bit SP1 Intel Core i5-2410M @2.30GHz, 6.0GB of Ram, Intel HD Graghics Family, video card NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M I've been playing Skyrim since May and bought Dawnguard but want to take a break from it tell Bethesda comes out with a dawnguard patch, only had about 6 CTD's a month with both and I play 3 hours or more a day and kept mod installs under 10 and used low settings when I would play!.. Owe I also installed the d3d9.dll fix from here beside my games exe and all the tweaks are done too on the second install and that steam firewall thing never came up and I was able to launch my game, but by then I was tired and went to bed, well install mods today and play!..
